Gameplay
Protect the spaceship from incoming enemies!
Press W to thrust, ASD are also available but take some getting used to to use and aren't necessary
Ship will face in the direction of the cursor, mouse is recommended heavily over a trackpad
Click to shoot
Press escape to end the current run
You can smash into enemies to kill them instantly, but you'll lose health when you do
Game starts off slow to get the hang of things, but quickly scales up into chaos!
Improvements We'd Like to Make
- Variation of powerups like health or ship speed, and other collectables that affect score.
- Better map (Wanted to make it circular but wasn't a priority during the jam)
- More balanced gameplay. ie. Scale enemies more effectively, better points system, Damage and health values to accurately reflect difficulty of wave, etc.
- Later stages become more dependant on RNG than we'd like. If power ups don't get dropped enough in the mid game it will cause you to lose.
-Improvements to sound. Clipping on some tracks and sounds happen at certain stages and some sounds aren't balanced with others. This couldn't be prioritized during the jam unfortunately.
This was our first game we made together and we are pretty happy with how things turned out! Please let us know your thoughts on the game below!
Game Updates:
February 1st:
+ Fixed movement controls where AD controls caused movement in the wrong directions
+ Parallax effect to the stars when moving -> nevermind this apparently isn't working after I build >:(

Very Fun and addicting! The graphics arnt that special and the UI is a bit too small but overall a very good game and a cool idea
